Sigh...what can I say? I watched the bittersweet good-bye as Steve Carrell's last day on "The Office" had me teary eyed. When I heard last year that this was his last season, I didn't want to believe it. When the the media confirmed it, I convinced myself not to believe it. What are we gonna do without you, Michael Scott? He's my favorite character on the show! I adore the ENTIRE "Office" staff as they are quirky and ridiculous in thier own unique ways, but Steve Carell's character depiction of Michael, always made me laugh out loud. The heartfelt teary good-bye between Jim and Michael really pulled at my heartstrings as they both pretended to have a lunch date the next day in order to avoid saying "good-bye" at the moment.
And Pam chasing Michael at the airport and having the viewers just have to watch their interaction as they said good-bye was a really nice touch. As Pam watches Michael's plane soar away in the sky, we are left feeling hopeful because Michael has finally found something REAL, that he's always wanted...TRUE LOVE.
So I close my good-bye with the Steve's 2nd last episode closing scene where the employees write a song for Michael.
Just won't be the same without ya, Michael.
